Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Weight Distribution Shank Review - 2005 GMC Sierra

Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra, we'll be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball Cushion Weight Distribution Shank for 2 inch hitches, part number AMAC1.Now to begin our test fit, we'll need to get our hitch height measurement. This is the measurement from the top of the receiver tube to the ground. On our vehicle, that measurement is 20 and a half inches. Now keep in mind, that measurement can change due to hitch style, tire size, or any other accessory which may change your vehicles right height. We'll now take the shank of our ball mount, slide it into the hitch lining up the hitch pinholes. We'll then take our pin and clip, slide it through the hitch pinholes, clip it on the other side and secure our ball mount to the vehicle. Now with our ball mount secured, were going to go ahead and use Convert-A-Balls part number BA1. This will allow us to use our weight distribution shank with the standard trailer hitch ball. Now with our ball platform secured to the weight distribution shank, we'll go ahead and give you a measurement. more

Today on this 2011 GMC 3500, we're going to install the Firestone Air Accessory Kit, part number F2219. Our first step is going to be mounting the gauges for our accessory kit. The customer has chosen to mount the gauges in the glove box. First, what I did is made a custom bracket so they will seat deep enough in the glove box and still be able to close the door. What I need to do is go ahead and open the door all the way, releasing the safety latch here. I'll be using my gauges as a template to draw out so we can cut out the back of the glove box to create a depth that we need to mount our gauges. more

Today on this 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 HD we will be installing Curt fifth wheel Q5 with roller part number 50064 and part number 16500. We will also be installing the fifth wheel installation kit with rails part number 50061-6008. Go ahead and lower the spare tire up out of the way. Also on some models you will find that the heat shield over here on the passenger side will interfere with the installation of your frame brackets. If that is the case you may want to go ahead and remove the heat shield out of the way as well. Okay on the models that have the factory installed electrical brake control unit will need to relocate the electrical plug mounted to the inboard side of the driver side frame rail here. Loosen those up and you can see that we can actually take the heads of the bolts, slide the bracket forward, and pop them out those larger holes there. 00:59 more
